well after years of owning jeeps (79 cherokee,89 and 83 wagoneer,99 wrangler and currently 77 cj7) The H3 will be my first non jeep 4x4 purchase. GM has gotten it right.
I am planning on purchasing after thanksgiving.
What should I be looking for in price...
lux and offroad package

for years I was a devoted jeep fanatic.I really fell in love with the Rubicon, then I met the H3 and that changed that.
I want an H3 in the worst way.

Me too...lots of Jeeps including a highly built XJ and TJ.
You wont be disappointed with the H3.
I love it more than any other vehicle I've owned.
The ONE thing you have to order is the tow package.
The hitch cannot be retro-fitted since it is in the middle of the bumper and would require a new bumper to do it.

I plan on ordering a Lux and Adventure Pkg. with 5-speed (of course) with Sunroof, Trailer Hitch and side skid rails and under body protection skids and maybe roof rails
Big decision is the color and if I should keep the Rubicon??
No Bling for Me

This is my 4th Jeep which im trading in if Ramp Hummer can ever get my H3 order right (9 weeks and counting).
I really need the xtra space. I think down the road I'll pick up an older 86 (before the square lights) and fix it up.
The older Wranglers have alot more character than the newer ones do.

I paid 32915 for lux, offroad, 5 spd, brush guard, black tube steps, sunroof and trailering. After AZ taxes title license totaled 35206. edit: sorry 36206 forgot about the deposit.
I'm really glad I waited and got the 5 speed its a lot of fun! I swear its the perfect car. Luxury with the leather and sunroof, capability with the offroad and sporty with 5 speed. You'll love it!

When I was looking recently, I was choosing between the Rubicon, landcruiser (very used) and H3. After driving all three I chose the H3. I liked the fact that the Rubicon has solid locking front and read axles, but with a family, I couldn't picture taking long trips in a Rubicon. The landcruiser feels way too heavy. Plus having two previous Jeeps (ZJ and XJ), the build quality of Jeeps is terrible.
I just went with a basic Birch White, Adventure, brush, auto, w/ towing, steps and roof rails for $29,900.

Congrats. You'll love it on and off the pavement. If my Hummer dealer hadn't been around the corner from the Jeep dealer, I'd probably have bought a new Rubi. Boy, am I glad I got curious about the H3.

Dealers in various markets are obviously very different on what they will give off MSRP...
We got ours about 2 weeks ago, and it has EVERY option that I can think of. (It was for the Mrs.)
Our dealer would only come $700.00 off MSRP.....

i got mine for 1,000 over dealer invoice and they gave me two 500.00 gas cards. So with an added brush guard and not counting the gass cards my total counting tt & l was only a few hundred over sticker. Work them all you can

Am I the only one that paid list for there H3? I paid exactly what was on the sticker 37,385. The H3 's we're only out 4 weeks when I got mine and the dealer said that they are not moving on price. That they were moving off the lot [ they were ]. Bought mine at Paramus Hummer in New Jersey.
