Both drive like a Caddilac, but would you take an Escalade in the mud?

Drive 'em. See which one you like better! Make your choice from there.

Good point. I forgot about that.
Let's see.
Vette = outrun people chasing you and leave them in the dust
Escalade = outrun people chasing you in leather comfort with Bulgari accoutriments, but not as fast as the Vette could run
H2 = Screw running away. Run 'em over and make them into dust.
Somehow, my primal instincts say the H2.

vette is out...... have drove the escalade and hummer both... i felt that the escalade is nothing more than a car with lots of room, no off road capabilities and a symbol on the front i feel they add ten grand to the truck for! moreless a overpriced blazer. Off to the hummer dealership i will go and get my h2 this week

Personally, i never considered the Escalade when i was looking at purchasing a vehicle even though many Hummer lots carry Cadilac as well. IMO there is nothing like a Hummer. Escalades have smilar competetors. The gas mileage will suck either way, just part of driving a big vehicle with a big gas engine.
I say DRIVE one! I was amazed at how agile they are for such big vehicles. I cannot see buying an Escalade after driving an H2. I just got mine about a month ago, but i think everyone needs an H2!

To me it would be simple. H2. The Lade is just bling. The H2 says "I might have some chrome...but do not let that fool you...I am bigger, badder, and ready for anything!"

We have both - hubby drives the slade.
The Caddy handles better. More pep too off the line. But even hubby admits that the H2 is the more awesome vehicle - if it had handled like the slade, he would have bought one.

My H2's drivers seat memory is out again and at the dealer so I have a 2005 Escalade right now as a loaner. The Escalade is faster but is very squirrelly on the Highway. On the drive home it felt like I was all over the road compared to the H2, which is solid as a rock!

I have driven Escalades as a Loaner Car and I also noticed that the steering is very loose and ther is a lot of towering and body roll on the HWY, especially on the off ramps. I actually scared the **** out of myself because I took an offramp at the same speed I usually I take it at with my truck, but in the Escalade it was an harrowing experience

I second that. Vette vs. H2? What a waste of bandwidth.
