This foul cesspool was lurking in the back of the fridge. I knew it was there for months, but I have ignored it. Well, with moving and all, I had to take it out. I took these pictures, and then nearly threw up. The whole house stinks, or it's migrated and begun growing in my nostrils.
Can anyone guess what this is?
And, yes, it was a foodstuff when I put it in the fridge. It was edible.

Well, it isn't a soup, but it was a sloppy substance. And there were never any shrooms, but they might have started growing...
Alec, I think you need a cranial examination.

Give us some good hints! Was it something your average person would eat?

Yes.
You must guess again before I tell you more.
Remember the logic of 20Q. Each question should eliminate half the choices.

Did it come out of a can?
Is it quick to make?
Does it contain meat?

Yay! Shaggy wins. I see the lonely bachelor must have quite a bit of experience with decomposing foodstuffs.
It was pudding. If you can determine what kind, you must be truly amazing.

I don't like pudding. Imagine that stuff festering away in your belly. Yuk! I think I'll have a steak for dinner.

Warm yummy goodness.
This is OREO pudding. Well, it was before it decomposed into who knows what.

Well, you must be above-average then. Average people eat pudding. And we like our trans fats.
