I just installed 2 DVD headrest by Invision. Got them on ebay for $1000 total. Each headrest is a complete stand alone DVD player so each kidlet can watch their own movie or play a video game without bugging the other. They come with a set of wireless headphones which work great and 2 remote controls.
I have to say, the install was prety easy..took about an hour tops.
As we are a hockey family and we travel around quit a bit, the DVD players are a must. I missed the timeline for the $299 ones from the dealers so this was a good option for us.

Did you hard wire it or use the plug-in option?

First, lets see some pics. Second, Did you wire up the FM Modulator in order be able to run the sound through the radio?
This is the same brand that Hummer is putting in the new ones.
Good Job

How tough is it to wire it through the FM modulator? Are there any directions anywhere?
Feeding that wire through the seats was a bit of a pain..but I have small hands and I could actually reach in through the small hole in the bottom to find the wire puller.

I am not sure. I had mine done at the dealer. I am sure someone could tell you. Or you might want to try a search on here for any posts

Depending on the unit you got, the FM modulator might be built into the DVD players. If it's the Revolution 1, it does not. If it's the Revolution 2, it has the modulators on board. The Revolution 2 is the promotional unit that's going into Hummers right now.

I've looked all over the manuals and the unit and I can't see where it says Rev 1 or 2. How do I know which one it is?

Got our system as part of the deal with the original purchase. We're in Northern NJ by NY City. The FM Modulator hsa problems with interference or overlapping stations no matter which of the several frequencies we try. Eventually we gace up on it and just use the headphones. They're wireless which is nice. Only problem we had initially was the headphones battery compartments were supposed to slide off but the plastic was still welded shut from the factory and we hd to finish the incision as when they did it, it was not complete. Once we completed the surgery it works great.
