If you dyno-tuned it, did you use a 4WD dyno or disconnect the front drive axle. (not even sure if that is possible... I've just never seen a 4WD dyno)

I had Magnusun do a little tweaking to the superchips tune and it runs very well. On my last truck, I used ls1edit and had tuners tweak my tunes for me and it never ran perfectly--always had a bit of detonation no matter what. I could see spending the $$ if you had the LPE like Ken did, but don't think you will get much more than the superchips tune.

WHAT, you're going to fix my stereo and make my truck run better?? LOL.
If you already have a superchip tuner, can they upload the tune on it or do you have to buy another?
Also, if you're going to use a mailorder tune, why not just stay with Maggies's?
Thanks,
Mark

I actually did a mail order tune on this one and the last one--the superchips tune is every bit as good on the H2 except perhaps a little better shifting performance with the ordered tune. I do believe you could send your programmer to Magnusun and have them reprogram it for a small fee. It's still a 6500lb pig, so nominal hp gains are probably not worth the $$ and effort. I would use the superchips tune, forget the dyno, and maybe toss on some headers. You could do a water/alky injection system to cool the intake temps, but again, small gains. On the H2, I even had Mag set up the tune for 87 octane fuel and it still puts out 7-7.5 psi with no detonation at all--gotta be happy with that!!

If you go with the Magnuson, pay the extra $$$ and send the PCM to Nelson Performance and let them tune it. Allen tuned mine last week after I had the lift and larger wheels/tires (also added the electric fans). He smoothed out the idling and made the shifting smoother. I also believe the truck runs almost as strong after my mods as it did before them.

Thanks guys, I'll be ordering the Maggie soon and I'm just trying to get my ducks in a row.
Gotta finish my vibration problem first...
