All HUMMER Dealers:
We are very happy to announce the release to commerce for the 2006 H3
was approved this morning, and H3s are beginning to ship from the
Shreveport Assembly Center.
There are approximately 3,000 completed H3s waiting to be shipped,
and we anticipate the vehicle carriers will clear these vehicles from
the holding lot within 7-10 days. To confirm the shipping status of
specific vehicles, we encourage dealers to check the "in-transit" tab
on the VOMS system. This system is updated daily.
Thanks for all your efforts as we continue to work together toward a
great H3 launch.

VOMS = Vehicle Order Management System
It is where a dealer orders and can track his orders from. It is a dealer only system.

From staff reports
The first Hummer H3, built in Shreveport, will go on sale first in Shreveport as well.
Four H3s arrived today at Orr Hummer. Three of them are for sale. One arrived pre-sold.
They number among the approximately 1,000 H3s built at Shreveport’s General Motors plant that will be shipped to Hummer dealerships across the country, according to David Caldwell, manager of Hummer communications.
GM expects the H3 - called a more accessible and maneuverable midsize SUV, starting at $29,500 - to help increase the company’s flagging market share by appealing to a wider variety of consumer, said Shreveport Plant spokesperson Donna McLallen.
“This is one of 17 new product launches by GM this year,” she said. “It’s certainly one of the most exciting.”
The company began building H3s at the local plant on April 18.
