HD Radio
Is there a way to put HD radio in the truck without changing the head unit out? Some kind of adapter or something?

Re: HD Radio
Thought I'd bring this thread back from the dead. Anyone have an HD radio in their H3?

Re: HD Radio
I'm guessing nobody's done this, but BTT anyway
About all I can find for the H3 (short of getting a new radio) is this universal model. Or something hacked together with this ipod adapter.

Re: HD Radio
Try this!
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11214876&whse=BC&Ne=40000 00&eCat=BC|3960&N=4001197&Mo=19&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogN ame:BC&cat=21270&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1〈=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=
It is a little spendy at 299, but that includes installation, and now they have a 40 mail in rebate.
It is supposed to work with H3 with stock radio. Plus it comes with installation. I haven't heard any feedback on it, but looks promising.
It also would allow you to hook up your ipod.
If you get it and it doesn't work, Costco will give you a full refund and refund your shipping costs.

Re: HD Radio
You can check out their website
http://www.diceelectronics.com/hd_basic.htm
They list the HD Radio unit by itself for 199 - 40 mail in rebate.
The installation is available for 90 bucks.
The ipod integration cable is $39.
With Costco you save 30 bucks and have a great return policy.
Install it yourself and save 90 bucks.

Re: HD Radio
Thanks H3slate, this looks like exactly what I wanted.
Looks like the rebate's from dice, not costco, and $160 for HD is very tempting. Dice charges 40 bucks for the ipod cable alone, so $260 installed with the ipod interface is really good.

True, but on the other hand, you get local weather, announcements, and traffic reports on local radio. And I don't know about other areas, but Denver has 28 stations broadcasting 40 HD channels.
I've been trying out XM on Comcast at home lately. I like some of the channels, but enough to buy a subscription? I dunno.
