I use Collinite #845 Insulator Wax. Best stuff I've come across.

H2O. WATER. Start from the top, have 6' ladder and extra long squeege ready, good luck with the center of roof, the rest is easy.

I use Zaino Brothers and the stuff works great. My truck is black so it matters more than most.

It is easy to put on, much easier than wax. I have applied it twice now and the 8 oz. bottle (Z2) is about 1/3 used up.

Cheers

Sunday washed, today clayed the entire body, tommorrow Griots "best of show wax". After claying a vehicle, the paint is smooth as glass and takes the wax much easier.

I agree with BadRap. After hitting the desert with Steve I took off to Pasadena and paid $65 for a detail at my favorite hand-wash. They did a great job, took out the brush-rake and my H2 looked better than it did when I bought it. Now I'm ready to hit the trail again

Hey blg615,
Do you like Griots Products? I receive their catalog but never purchased anything and was thinking of buying some of their products. Is there any that you would recommend? and those to stay away from?

Thanks

p prowler, I like their clay and speed shine. also like best of show wax and the little cotton cloths#14600.
I do NOT like the cotton drying towels #11100.
I bought a cotton bath towel at Costcos (like a Sams) that was only $5 and dries much better.
Overall, most of their stuff is overpriced.

Check out this site. I have been using these products for over 10 years, best I have found and they smell great if that matters...Parkay wax for the body,Shape-up for the black trim and tires,Sprayaway for the glass,High gloss for the touch-ups and a big soft brush with a long handle for washing the roof and windshield. If its good for the show car its good for the Hummer! BIG-C

I used Zaino on my Z06 and it is great stuff. Nothing else like it, but I have not done the H2 yet since its so damn big. I am not sure what to use, but I dont want to use anythng that ruins the the black trim. I even have the Zanio factory 6 miles from my house. I just talked to the owner Sal and he said he has a new and improved Z2 out. I think I may use it, but I am still unsure since it will take all day to complete it right.
