Cool THANK YOU! for a great trip

I just wanted to post a public THANKS! to all the Elcova members that I got to meet on my recent cross country trip.

Thanks to ree for taking the time to call and visit in South Bend.

Thanks to Oldhiker for setting up a really fun (and wet) Paragon trip! I got Moab sticker and a Paragon stickers on the back window now.

Thanks to Ken and CP for opening their home to me and my kids! I really enjoyed our visit!

Thanks to marcmedic for helping me find a place to stay to watch the fireworks on the 4th.

And Thanks to Alec and the Colorado gang for setting up an impromptu bar-b-que and having us for dinner! Kathy went WAY over the top preparing dinner!

And if anyone from Edmark Hummer in Nampa reads this, a BIG thanks to them for getting my car in on Friday afternoon to fix my starter!

No prob. Plus I got to learn a little about product packaging molds from your hubby. I'm just a little sore from that infection you gave me...I've got ~$1700 in gadget and goodies (GPS/UMPC/software) on order now because of you.

Rocks, you all are always welcome in our home. Next time, bring the hubby and we'll hit Williamsburg and/or DC.

No. I'll fess up. I've always thought having a GPS unit would be cool, but also always talked myself out of getting one. She convinced me to finally get one. I don't know how. She just said, "do it." And since then I couldn't get it out of my mind as a project to do. I just ordered a UMPC, GPS unit and software. I don't think I'd have done it if she hadn't told me to. It may be as simple as when women tell me to buy things for myself, I tend not to fight them on it

Well, I just hope your wife can forgive me.

What kind of GPS did you decide on?

I know I should have stayed for the weekend, but I felt the NEED to get home. Besides, I get to see Adam again pretty soon.

No more P.P. souveniers, thank goodness , and Trent finally got his chocolate bars 6 days after I ordered them. So much for overnight delivery, huh? I called Hershey and they refunded the shipping costs, but I told her it was supposed to arrive for a "Sorry I missed our Tenth Anniversary Honey" present. Oh well, he'll be busy with that for a while, now I just need to get him a giant tub of peanut butter to dip it in.

Miss you!

Not a problem. I didn't tell her you told me to.

Garmin 60CSx USB-ed to the UMPC running DeLorme Street Atlas and TOPO. I won't have 3-d birds-eye navigation views or weather radar. But it'll replace my mp3 player and allow me to watch videos and stay current on elcovaforums.com while driving all without getting lost.

So when you drive out West to visit and see the countryside, you won't get lost?

Yes, lost in the countryside. I'll always know my GPS coordinates, but might not care.

Rox, it was great to take you and the kiddies to Paragon. Had a great time, but not long enough. Glad you had a great trip.

You too, doc! That baby of yours is soooooo CUTE! How can something so small make a grown adult blabber like an idiot just to get them to smile? It worked!
