I thought the porfit number was ginormous because of recent history, until I read this part:
"The fourth-quarter results included $770 million in special items attributed to the sale of a 51 percent stake in GM?s financial arm, General Motors Acceptance Corp. But the Detroit company said it would have made $180 million in the quarter without the GMAC sale proceeds."

None-the-less, that's great news.

As goes General Motors so goes The World--I hope indeed good news. Now if we just lose the whiny jap buyers who never quit whining unless they buy a rusting oil burning toyota or whatever rice burner that they never quit lying about GM and America will be fine. The Rebel
