H3 diesel
Quote:
When our nose isn?t to the grindstone, our ear is to the ground. Here?s some hot Hummer news we?ve heard lately.
-A high-ranking Hummer official says that Hummer wants to be GM?s Diesel Division.
-Hummer is negotiating with an unnamed source to provide a diesel engine for the H3. Rumor is that diesel-powered H3s will be exported overseas initially and eventually offered in the U.S.

Re: H3 diesel
I found an actual H3 diesel!
Quote:
DeFord took the most beneficial features of Rock Crawler set ups and applied them to the H3, along with a truly unique modification. That modification being the installation of a Chevy Duramax LBZ diesel engine and transmission borrowed from a new diesel Cargo Van. Since diesel performance is what Bully Dog is all about, it only made sense have a diesel-powered vehicle, even if that meant swapping one into the vehicle.

For the forseable future, no diesels built in the US. Only assemblied in South Africa foe export to other countries.

Re: H3 diesel
-A high-ranking Hummer official says that Hummer wants to be GM?s Diesel Division. (High ranking?????)

(Dang, netotiations are over with months ago.)
-Don?t look for a diesel in the current-generation H2?it isn?t going to happen.
(No Sh*t)
-A Hummer pickup truck may materialize before an H4. (No Sh*t)
-The ?08 H2s will get an all-new interior mid-year, as well as an all-new powertrain and electronics. (No sh*t)
Another "Diesel in the H3" thread. Almost similar to the H3T is it a truck or is it a SUT threads.

Re: H3 diesel
We have already been over this, but yeah its on the driver side. We can only assume that the diesel engine swap had the airbox on the drivers side as opposed to our stock gassers being on the passengers side.
I am forever dreaming of the diesel H3.
