Default TPMS sensors

I have an 07 H2 and will be putting on new wheels and tires soon. Do I need to have these sensors installed? Guess I am asking if the vehicle is equiped with this feature? Thanks.

Tire pressure monitoring sensors. I believe all 2007 and newer vehicles are required to have them installed in each tire. It's actually attached to the valve stem and sends a signal to the computer. If the pressure is too low or high there is a light on the dash that will come on. The computer will send a read-out telling you which sensor or sensors are in question. This read-out will come across where your mileage is.

No problem I have it lit on my avalanche. I have 26's on it and the Factory tpms wouldnt clear and I was not about to drop 400+ on aftermarket tpms!! I am regreting that decision now though, will be getting some low pro TPMS's later.

Hi the tpms system is great but the senors are a pain, i had to replace 2 so far and they were gm senors or better yet who ever makes them for gm. All cars in the USA and Canada built after mar. 2007 have to have them because some people don't check their tires. I guess its a good thing because now that little light comes on and says you have a problem, so even the people with no clue will see it and check the tires.

I am not sure if my 03 has them, they have never indicated low pressure before. My wifes mercedes on the hand, has Tire Pressure Monitor with no sensors! How? It monitors wheel rotation in relation to the other tires... A tire with less air will rotate less than a fuller tire. When we changed rims I looked everywhere for adapters to relocate the TMPS.
