How to black out all signal cover, brake lights on the H2
I want to black out the lights on the H2 (everything that is red or yellow). I know people have tinted the rear brake lights but what about the lights on the top and the signal covers? Is the spray paint effective ? I was told they sold covers for lights on the top of the h2, but I cant seem to find them on ebay.
What is the best route to get this done effectively, I dont want to replace the tint every year or so.

Do you really want to decrease the effectiveness of your tail lights at the expense of safety? Sorry, but blacked out tail lights just really chap my phucking hide...total disrespect for the safety of others, IMO.

Uhh Yah!
A slight tint and completely dark tint are two different things.
In California for a tint to be legal you have to be able to see the shade of white for the reverse light, so completely blacked out ones are illegal anyway.
If people are tailgateing me and not paying attention to the road, it is there own fault, not mine. They need to put down the cell phone, quit pickin their nose and pay attention to the road.

Tinting looks pretty good I went with smoked LED taillights and Bumper Lights. Also I got the side marker covers that was chrome then body colored the chrome part. I will be installing the recon lights soon.

Saw this on the freeway and if you notice, the lights are still red not completely black on the roof and you can still see the white light in the brake lights. Does this look more like a spray job?

Well for those who are interested, it seems to achieve this look it needs to be taken to a body shop and painted (to have a nice professional look). So I am going to get some estimates in the next dew days.

Ya, the tail lights look like they have been sprayed and then clear coated over. The clear coat is important, it's very dull without, even if you are trying to achieve a flat black look, it jujst doesn't look right... I am guessing the markers too and they just did a lighter coat of black spray...

Re: How to black out all signal cover, brake lights on the H2
The Recon cab lights are great. There are smoked covers for the side marker lights and smoked rear euro tail lights. I used some 3M thick tinted film to cover front and rear corner lights.

Re: How to black out all signal cover, brake lights on the H2
I used this on all my lights
http://www.modernperformance.com/nit...ns-p-1779.html
works great and no problem with visibility
the more you apply the darker it is its up to you

The front lights are pretty easy to remove you have to go in from the hood, the rear you need to remove the side panels in the back to gain easy access.

I just did my set at one of my bodyshops to my mini.
You can make them as dark or light as you want.
Even with them as dark as I did them, here's a couple of pics so you can see what they look like with brakes on.

Re: How to black out all signal cover, brake lights on the H2
You need to remove them so you can sand them down prior to painting. It will make them look better then sand between each coat.
