Oh wow, that is too cool. I didn't realize Rover was making a pickup version of the 110.
Too bad they don't sell them here, I'm sure they would do very good. That is something I'd really love to own.

If only we had a spare 58k and someplace to park it!
Thanks SJ for the info!

SJ, do you know the story on Defenders in the US? I think someone mentioned a while ago that they were going to sell them in the US again. Peter and I both love them.

I'm not sure if Land Rover will sell the Defender in the US again. Rumors have it that Ford will produce the Defender in limited numbers and then share a stretched platform with a completely revised Discovery. At least that's what I read in Petersen's.
Here's a concept Defender 90:

I'd love to have something like that, only problem is that the tires look a few sizes too big. Get some suspension flex and those tires are going to re-arrange the wheelwells.

Mike:
I missed your post at first. The Silver 110 is a production model, that simply has an aftermarket fold-down tent affixed to the roof. It is called a double cab pickup and it comes in 110 and 130 wheelbase models. Land Rover sells these in select countries (with the US not being one of them).
If you go to landrover.com and select UK as your home country, it will give you the full lineup with all Defenders [Pickup, Double Pickup, Wagon 90 & 110].

Here's a 2003 D110 that some one is selling on eBay. Looks like the guy/gal is going through the effort of making everything US compliant, so it's a mater of swallowing the price tag.
There is some question about warranty.
I tend to like the D90, but with a family, the 110 starts to make more practical sense.
