Default Dirty bastiges tried to steal my L.E. lightbar.

Got to driving down the road yesterday and noticed that someone tried to take the lightbar off.
It has got me thinking about putting an alarm on.
I don't want anything too fancy as I will probably have to get it installed here in Mexico.
What is a good, reliable alarm? There is a local shop here that sells and services Viper alarms.
I have a Viper in my daily driver that so far has been excellent.
Also, do I need an interface?

Thanks in advance.

My H2 has a "Code Alarm" It seems to work pretty good. Viper is Made by DEI. Any really any DEI alarm is a great alarm.

If you're not going o be removing the light bar (or lights from the light bar) in the foreseeable future, you can tack weld all of the nuts in one spot so they can't be undone without grinding the little weld out.

Be careful of the place that installs the alarm. A friend of mine had a Viper installed a few years back. 2 days after the install he had a break-in attempt. The fargan bastages knew exactly where to pry up the hood of his 300 ZX to snip the power wire of the alarm! What they didn't count on was the factory alarm going off. He heard it go off and flew out there with his 686 357 only to see them sppeding away in a Van. Pretty ovoius the installation company had something to do with it but couldn't prove it legaly
Funnilly enough there was no other break-in attempt

I love living out in the sticks. I don't even take the keys out of mine!

I had a buddy that went to grad school and was broke, so he lived in the worst part of the city. He had a bad ass dog, he parked his jeep all summer long without the top on, just left the dog in there in his driveway. No problems.

I know the installer pretty well. He has done a few alarms for me in the past few years as well as some window tinting. I think he can be trusted.
He offered me a Spyder 5600 (not sure on the number).
It comes with remote start as well as a bunch of other features.
I googled Spyder alarms and came up with nothing.
Going to ask him about the Viper 5900 as he also handles Viper.

Thanks for all the good info.
