Dug is off the scale
Default New Years drunken safari

Did a little wheelin out in the woods last night. Anyone ever rip off the shifter cable that goes to the tranny? We got into a little brush and a branch poked up and broke the plastic piece where the cable clips onto the transmission shift arm. There were 8 of us and all we had was a tiny light on a key chain one guy had . That light was a lifesaver. We thought we was walking back to the house to explain to wifey her H2 was out of commission. Anyhow , I held the brake and my cousin slid under the truck in a muddy trail and shifted the lever back into drive and away we went. Had to crawl underneath it this morning with a pounding headache and shift it to park so it would start. Then crawl underneath again to put in drive. Did i mention its freezing ice and rain here. My ass is soaked. Now I am about to mcgayver the plastic parts back together now that i have it down at the shop. I am wondering if i should pull the cable all together , but dont know how hard it is to get at the end in the truck hooked to the shifter. Also while trying to climb a snowy hill we hit a tree stump head on . The front skid plate is a little smashed up. Also the interior is all covered with spilled drinks from the stump jumping episode, gonna have to do a little cleaning.

Thumbs down Re: New Years drunken safari

Sounds like you are a Fu$king Idiot!!! So now with your super fix the next stick you hit will rip the cable and the shifter out instead of a cheap plastic peice.
