Re: Which candidate is most like you?
OMG y'all are gonna freak. I ended up with two republicans and one democrat. LOL My ideal candidate ended up being (1) Rudy Giuliani (2) Mike Gravel and (3) Mike Huckabee. Really cool link you sent.

Re: Which candidate is most like you?
I've taken around five or these things and it always goes like this: Ron Paul, Fred Thompson.

Re: Which candidate is most like you?
I took it three times because some of the answers aren't adequate and I'm fexible on how I'd like some things handled.
The first time I got Romney, Huckabee, Thompson.
The second time I got Huckabee, Romney, Hunter.
Third, Huckabee, Romney, Brownback.
I guess I've narrowed it to two, but I wasn't expecting one of them.

Re: Which candidate is most like you?

I gotta try it a few ways like ken. So far ron paul in low man on my totem pole, i seem to get a mix of dems and republicans.

There's so much I like about RP, but he totally loses me on his whole "We've got to try to understand why the Arabs hate us" crap. Sure, I'll try real hard right after we nuke them into extinction.

Re: Which candidate is most like you?
I know what you mean and I did some reading about this a while back and I totally catch his drift.
Our CIA funded all of these extremist back when Russia was occupying Afghanistan and gave them all the weapons they needed to defeat the Ruskis. They trained them on terrorist tactics, gurrelia warfare and when the Russians gave up and went home the USA/CIA turned our backs on them and left the shattered country to implode because "we werent really there" if you know what I mean.
That?s the exact time when Osama Bin Laden vowed his vengeance against us and when he started his personal campaign to take us down.
There are many more "situations" we have stirred up over the years, but that was the exact turning point where we received conformation that they were now going to wage war on us.
So, he means (I think) that we need to keep our noses out of their affairs as in the "dirty wars" and stop manipulating terrorist states under the table and face them in the open politically out in the open with the rest of the "United Nations" (which is a whole nother joke) in public dialouge.
Thats my take on it anyways...

Re: Which candidate is most like you?
I did the same as Ken, I took it a couple of times because it is hard to pick one answer to a couple of them. I ended with Ron Paul most of the time. The thrid time I went through and ended up with Clinton as the number two and decided that group of answers was definately not the RIGHT ones.
Cool Link though.

Re: Which candidate is most like you?
Actually the above account is not that accurate, probably the dumbed down for americans version. In afghanistan Osama was part of a group refered to as the Arab Mujehadeen as the true Afghans drew a very clear distinction between themselves and the Arabs that came there in the name of jihad. Osama's outfit in Afghanistan was a complete joke and were involved in only 2 minor engagements with the soviets during the whole conflict. After Afghanistan Osama was mostly involved in trying to influence the gov'ts of other muslim nations particularly creating problems for the Saudi family which is why Saudi arabia revoked citizenship from a person belonging to one of the most respected families in Saudi Arabia. While he had some anti US views at this point it was not until the US set foot in Saudi Arabia for gulf war one that we became enemy #1. Most Arabs held the US in very high regard for our aid and approach to the Afghan war against the Soviets and the situation in the country was a ginormous mess before and after our help. Mostly it was clan warfare, after the Soviets were out, nobody really cared what was going on Afghanistan because the symbolic victory over the communists had been won.
