Is it possible to take the letters out of the grill and replace them with another color? I didn't want to pry one out without asking.
Has anyone ever done it?
My grill is body color with black letters and you can barely see them, I thought I'd replace them with something shiney.

I ordered the letters today, $30.00 for a set seemed pretty reasonable.
Thanks Everyone for the help!

Do you know if those come in other colors? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
It looks like you have to order them custom made.

Thanks, I was thinking white or black too. How come you think I should get domed? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Domed will throw off a little shadow and make the white stand out more. (My opinion).
But with your rig, a white grill and some chrome letters might look good too. Keep the theme so to speak.

Okay, here's an update.
I ordered the grill letters from the link and put them on.
Here's a pic.
They are not replacement grill letters, they are only stick on letter covers done on Avery paper. They look okay, but I'm sure I'm going to scratch them off in the brush. Needless to say I'll be searching for new ones before long. They are easy to put on, but they're very thin. Don't rip one.

mbdougl: Thanks for the link. Those are great but I don't want matching letters. And I'm not sure how white would look with the chrome brush guard, and stuff.
Do they have to be plastic, or can I use some made out of aluminum? They wouldn't expand and contract very good, but I could polish them and stick them in there.

Here's another update.
I have had the grille letters on for about 4 weeks and lost one after hitting it with a pressure washer while trying to get the bugs off.
Just thought I'd let you folks know in case you were going to try it.
I'll keep searching for replacements.

Are you talking about the Front Skid plate? That's can be really shiney, just take it off and Buff the Heck out of it with metal polish.(looks like toothpaste.) Then have it annodized. You can even have it done in mutiple colors.

Good Job!
The white is nice and makes it look kind of stealthy.
The blue is nice and matches the lights, but I like white better.
And Black always works in a pinch. Kind of like clothes.
Red was out, for me.
If you did use the white, the instructions for the letters say there will be a small amount of the original color left around the edges, so the white letters would look framed. Definitely domed letters, too.

Yes. When you order them, they give you the option to order another color. They are very nice quality and don't take that long to get.

Post a pic! I'd like to see it. What about painting the winch white (body color) and then chroming the cradle? I haven't quite reached the Bling Plateau that you guys have, but I really like seeing the different things you've done. Great ideas!
I LOVE THIS THREAD!

Dental Floss works great on the Damn things stuck to the grill.
Wiggle it back and forth, it'll bring 'em right up.

Maybe you could go with an ice blue color to match the blue inside the PIAA lights. They have all sorts of colors. And there is a link to the color tabs on one of the links above. Shale Blue Metallic. That might look cool peeking out behind the lights.
