Default H1 Alpha Inventory Getting Low

Heard from my dealer today that the Nationwide new H1 Alpha Inventory is down to 23...seems a little low to be true..but possible....

That's indeed very low ! If I lived in the States, I'd buy one as an investment!

Considering they aren't making them anymore, and that their sales have been pretty good (on par with 2005 numbers in 2006) I'd say that could be true. They will all be gone soon. It's inevitable.

FYI AM General will re-relaease the H1 through original Hummer dealers like Lynch etc. They have figured out how to make the optimizer engine meet new epa regulations. I heard for a AM tech I went to school with that they can make money on them. It was all the GM upgrades pushing the cost to build so far out of line that they stopped making them (GM)
So if you don't need what the Alpha has look for the traditional H1 with a price tag in the 105-125 range.

I just read that the H1 might come back in 2010 from Hummerguy.net. In addition there was the Predator Motorsports staring a whole new division for H1. And AM General's mother company is buying Delphi's interior components division...

It is also interesting to note that the deal that GM and AMG struck in '99 expires at the end of this year or sometime next year.

It is very nice to have an orginal dealer so close to home.

Does anybody know more on this issue? Or can we say that the very last civilian H1 has been produced?

Edit: and what about those spanish lookalike varieties?? Anything know something about'em?

Funny thing is that Lynch ISN'T one of the ORIGINAL dealerships.... they came on board shortly after the initial release...
