My Insurance company (Travelers/Allstate)quoted me at $170 a month to insure the H3 in Philadlephia....Does anyone know where I may get a cheaper quote, I have my Homeowners with the too for a 5%-10% discount. Any suggestions.

Make sure they quoted an H3 and not an H2 as there is a big difference. get them to quote the VIN number. Mine went down from what I was paying for my 2001 Ford Escape.

wannabeH3 your not married yet. It will go down once your married.
Actually my Beetle GLS is more and the BMW Z3 I used to have was about $120.00 / month.
I have multiple car and multiple policy discount but if your driving record is clean you shouldn't be paying over $100/ month for the H3 alone. Unless under 25 male.

Try USAA. $100/mo. Hi coverage and low deduct. I ended up financing my loan with them as well at 5.49%.

Congrats! Great rate. Checked their site but it seems Grange rates are not as good for CT residents. I may be wrong. Pls let me know if you know otherwise.
Thanks

I have State Farm, along with a homeowner's ins. discount, I pay about $1150 per year. That's in a suburb of Louisville also, I'm sure it's more in Philly.

yat - go to progressive.com, they will give you the rates for them and other insurance companies all at one time, which makes the decision much easier.

You could try Erie Insurance in PA. With full benefits and being a young driver, the H2 is $1,600/year and the H3 is $1,200/year. Hope that helps!

4ophenia,
I'll get in touch with the local Grange office here and I'll check into it for you!

Try Allied Insurance. I got a quote of $1,050.00 a year or $87.50 a month. Thats with highest coverages and lowest deductables available. All said its about 300 bucks a year more than my 96 sub.

I am not sure if I entered all the amounts correctly, but tried to measure it up to my current, full coverage on my truck; through State Farm it was about $501/6months or $83.56 per month.
