Default Will GM really halt the Hummer?

Could this be an attempt to ramp up Hummer sales? I've heard the death note of the Corvette trumped out a few times before too. When GM said they may drop the Corvette in 1980, sales of the two-seater jumped 35%. Hummer dealerships have a big investment in infrastructure. They don't say anything about the H3 plant in Shreveport. Do they make enough Colorados there to keep the plant open without the H3? It's not over till the fat lady sings and as Lee Iacocca so wisely was quoted when the Mustang first came out, "take 50% of what you hear about the future of a particular model, divide it by 3 and you still can't believe half of it."

I tried to search the site, does anyone know the total production numbers of H2s by model year?

It looks like Hummer will almost for sure be discontinued maybe sold off. GM looks like is going to focus on cars and try to be more like toyota. If hummer goes away I hope they don't mess up the fullsize trucks also.

I have ALWAYS (since age 16) drove GM trucks but if GM they pull the plug here, I may never buy GM again.

I'll be the first one to say that I love my H2 and love driving it everywhere. But, with 4+ dollars a gallon its become harder and harder to justify. I'm not ready to give up on Hummer just yet......

Also after reading and reading a couple of website it does look like GM, Ford and Dodge might be in trouble. And we might have to say goodbye to all V8's or rather low mileage trucks/suv's and cars.

This reminds me of the late sixties......... GTO's, Firebirds, Chevelle's, Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, Torenos, Camaro's, Cudas, the list goes on and on......

Dead or gutted.

The next ten years sucked for anything power related.

Then came Buick Grand National, 84 vette brought some power back...... then slowly LT1, LS1, and the Hemi's.

We are going into a dark period.

I may be driving this rig for a long time.......... they can keep those econo box pieces of sh!t.
