How can I reset the "low tire" message?
Hi:
My H3 currently has 20" tires ( nitto terra grappler) The tires have recommened pressure to be 40 psi. After I noticed the "low tires" message, I tried putting in 40 psi. The message remained there. I currently have them at 35 psi but the stupid message is still there. I need some advice on how to get this message off. I think I have to reset but I cannot find how to do so. Please, if anyone knows how to deal with this problem, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
Sunita.

Re: How can I reset the "low tire" message?
Look in your owner's manual. There is a setup instuction page and goes through the proceedure. You should be able to complete in about 5 minutes...asuming your tpm;s were put into your new rims and one was not harmed.
You'll need to have an air source handy as you will have to lower your psi for 15 seconds until your horn chirps, and than on to the next one.
you don;t have to run those tires @ 40spi either. 35psi should ride a little nicer.

Re: How can I reset the "low tire" message?
Hey,
Thanks for the tip. I must say the manual is very limited. I've read and re-read it several times but it does not mention anything about this message. Anyway, I will try your suggestion and see if it works. Will let you know.

Check the spare. It has a sensor also I believe.

Does it have the tire pressure sensors in the 20" wheels? If so, relearn the sensors and then you have to drive it about 1 mile for the light to turn off.
