I've owned my H2 1 month and just noticed when it rains hard or I wash my truck water is running down inside the right front roof support trickling out of the grab handle bolt cover. I discovered the passenger carpet was soaked. Anybody had this problem? Could it be a faulty seal around the antenna?

TBarrow,
Why do you say silicone will cause rust on a painted surface?

You might want to check the running light on the front corner of the roof, it has a built in jacuzzi

CMB,
A few months ago I took it in for some work and had to fight them like dogs to get a vehicle to drive. Luckily I knew a manager and he took care of me. My point to them was I am buying a 55k dollar truck and can't even get a loaner! They said Sonic had taken all of those privi's away. My wife drives a Lexus and it doesn't matter what we take it in for they always give us a car to drive. We can even take it in anytime just to have it washed.
I told them that there competition was taken care of customers alot better than they were.
Besides the loaner problem they have been OK, typical dealer justifacations on problems.

cmb,
Where do you live?
I am getting ready to build a house in Brentwood.
As far as recommending someone at the dealership, There was one guy there I liked and he left. There always seems to be alot of turnover at dealerships.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll visit the dealer tomorrow. This seems like a very weird way of getting water off the roof !@#$%

Ok mine is fixed. The center lights have a sponge type gasket that had colapsed. they removed the lights and put a urethane seal between them and the truck. There is a tray assembly below the lights that ends about 2.5 - 3 inches from the end and if the lights leak it comes in at the handles. The drivers floor board was damp so the jute was also replaced 15 minutes while I waited for all. I was also experiencing a vibration at higher speeds and it is also now gone.

I think the clogged drain tube is only an issue with a sunroof installation, but others have had problems with the front roof lights not being sealed well.

Is it possible to pop the light out, put in a bead of clear silicone adhesive caulk, and stick the light back in?
I would think that'd seal it up nice, and the adhesive caulk would hold it in good. Adhesive caulk having better holding power than the regular stuff.
Just a thought...

Check with your windshield companies as I was told this years ago. They only use a urethane sealant where it comes in contact with the metal. I have never asked why just been told numerous times even last month when my H2 windshield was replaced.

Hard rain last night. My Passenger side carpet is soaked! I pulled up the trim piece by the door and an inch of water sitting there. Two beach towels worth! Back to the dealer tomorrow.

I haven't taken mine through a commercial car wash and now I won't in the future. I pay my kids to wash it.

I visited the Dealer today. First Class service (Orlando Hummer) They installed a new corner roof light while I waited. They seemed sure that was it. I'll see what happens, it looks like rain.

Brad,
How good has Crest Hummer been to you? I just got a 04 and want to know if I should be prepared. Anyone there you would recommend or not recommend? Thanks for the help.

Clogged drainage hoses are the culprit. Easy for the dealer to fix just make sure they clean your carpeting.

Yup! Hell check all the running lights on the front of the roof! The lights in the center can get bumped off in a car wash then you will have a leak. Welcome to the "having fun at the dealer club!" BIG-C
