Black buffs up nice if you know what you're doing.

They're meant to be used for harsh enviroments. Water and mild detergent should not affect it. I use to have a Pontiac Fiero GT(15 years ago ) with a bra. I put it in the washing machine all the time. With Armour All or Vynil conditioner, it always looked new.

P.S. Use AllTemperCheer.

You should be able to machine wash in cold/delicate and a small amount of detergent. After hang dry, mabye use some Armour All or vynil conditioner.

I used to have fun sticking my head out the sunroof and driving at night. It was really cool -- especially with the lights off. That center console was so wide and positioned just right to sit on while driving. Try doing that in the H2...

Wow! If you need to buff out the orange peel to get the scratches out, they must be pretty deep. Hand buffing will take the scratches, but leave the peel. You might consider side shields when you go off-road.

My girlfriend at the time loved the removable sunroof. She could stick her head out.

And in, and out, and in, and out........

Black buffs best by hand. You can use an orbital (carefully) if you finish with really fine compound and a good coat of wax.

Nothing looks better. But timgco's Desert Sand with black SUT may look as good. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I had our Lexus dealership buff it to try to get all the scratches out and they are the best i have seen but to make it right again(which i am a freak about my belongings being in good condition) it would take color "wet" sanding to get them out and because the H2 have so much orange peel from the factory we would have to tape off and do all of the flat surfaces on both sides, but it would look better than new becuase the paint would be so flat....

Very nice. What size rims/ tires are you running?
HHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM...

Something's missing up on top.
something stainless that looks chromed but more durable.
Something that could have lights in it maybe.
something that doesn't sit any higher than your stock cross bars.

I think I have something that will work.
A first of its kind too.

Yes, ahead of it's time for sure. I've always promised myself when I have time, I'm going restore one again.
