Default What's best way to clean grime under fender wells?

I tried spraying degreaser under there at the car wash. Looked clean until water dried = same old grime still there. Any ideas?

Maybe some ArmorAll will hide it.

Did it discolor your fender wells or do you just have crud stuck on there? Usually I have a wheel brush specific for the wheel wells and on for my actual wheels. Just a cheap one from wal-mart or target.

VERY difficult to clean, and frankly, not worth the effort since it'll stain again the next off-road trip. Nowadays I just spray tire dressing (low gloss) to cover all the discoloration (double coat if necc).

PhilD mentioned Bondo's Restore Black as being effective on all the trim; perhaps will also work for the wheel wells?
