appreciate your HUMMER warranty
I took my wifes Trailblazer in because the gas gauge stopped working. Warranty stuff, no problem. After, no exageration, 47 minutes, finally they took the car and I was out the door, on foot mind you. Well, they had the car all buisness day so I called at 6pm for an update. Maybe it will be done tomorrow, I was told. Can I get a loaner? No loaner under warranty until the problem is diagnosed. When do yo think you can diagnose the gas guage not working problem? Don't know . WTF. Let me guess, they"ll diagnose it 1 hour before they fix it and in the meantime we're down a car.
I took in the H3, they greeted me in the drive, within 20 minutes, without asking for a loaner, I was on the road in a new Caddy. Now thats customer service.
Both GM products, very different experiences. It can't be a price thing, The Trailblazer was more expensive than the H3. Gotta go now, I'm walking to work today .

Re: appreciate your HUMMER warranty
Couldn't be happier with my HUMMER warranty, they have so far forked out in excess of 3000$ to repair the side airbags, roll over module, wheel alignment and balancing. The latter was required due to torsion bar tweaks and fitting of 33" BFG A/T's. Only thing that I was a bit p*ssed off about was they could only offer me a lift to the nearest taxi stand on each occasion and not a replacement vehicle of any kind. The airbag thing took 5 weeks, thankfully I was out of country for most of it and have a company car to get me around.
A Toyota Corrolla, but at least its 4 wheels and a fuel card.

It all comes down to the dealership. Each dealer will do things based on what they believe will keep their customers happy and give them high scores on the GM survays.

Re: appreciate your HUMMER warranty
I could be wrong, but for a warranty work estimate taking over two hours they are suppose to get you a car. So everytime I go in for service they estimate the work will take 1.5 hours.

Re: appreciate your HUMMER warranty
For the GM extended warranty see:
http://www.gmprotectionplan.com/faqs.html
The repair or service must require two or more manufacturer's labor time guide hours or needs to be kept in the repair facility overnight. (Please see contract for details.)
