Default Link to 2008 H3 ALPHA Pricing found !!!!

Well, sort of

"2008 Hummer H3 Alpha Prices: Expect the line-topping Alpha to start around $35,000.

Buying Advice for the 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha

Skip the underpowered five-cylinder models and head straight for the Alpha. Compared to the overworked five, the brawny V-8 will consume only slightly more fuel in real-world driving.

2008 Hummer H3 Alpha Release Date: The 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha will arrive in showrooms this fall.

First Test Drive: Check back for more information. "

This site speculates that the price will be $35,000
I hope so ! I have heard speculation as high as $45,000 !!!

Porblem is the Alpha will not be ordered by dealers with just the alpha package when they first come out. If you can place an order maybe. This time next year they willhave 0% on them or huge rebates, buy now pay now. wait and get a deal. i say 42-45

I'd say your pretty close. But the General does have a way of making you pay dearly for bigger motors. Look at The Corvette ..fom LT 1 to ZR 1 along with some slight chassis mods and a 1 1/2 " wider rear fenders the price was around 75-80K over the well equiped model at around 45 K

(Someone correct me here if I'm wrong.)

Look at the new Z0-6.. compared to the LS 1 corvette. Most of the time it's a big Jump. I figure when the General figures in Body Mods ..Chassis Mods.. And Puter reprogramig and all the rest of the stuff that goes with a V8 your gonna pay at least 8-10K for the up grade.

That'll get yah 53 more ponies and a better diff and suspension and all rest of the minor mods. And at that point you become the Generals Test Mule for the first year.

What's gona fail on the first Alpha's..You'll be the Test Drivers for the rest of us.

Me gonna keep my 07 and and wait fo the 09 Improved Alpha..or ..may I'll wait till 2010..that has a better ring then 2009

Well, also as a vette owner, this is a little bit of a stretch......
The Z06 is far from just an upgraded motor. I don't have to tell you that the engine is hand-built and tuned for each car. The car uses Carbon Fiber panels and hood, the body is modified as is the suspension, interior, wheels, tires, exhaust, the list goes on and on....

A better comparison is to look at the Tahoe or Yukon to see how they handle upgrading the engine.

To be honest, for me, non of the suspension upgrades are of interest, I just want the V8. I would be happy to get a base H3 with an automatic, V8 and bigger tires/wheels.

You are Correct there Mr. Snapster...That was the wrong example to use... forgot about all the CF and other gack.. But you get the jist of what I'm saying there.

I think..even if it was just V8 upgrade..they'd still have to mod the fire wall and other related items according to the story I read about the Alpha. Either way she's -a- gonna cost more.
