Default Brembo Brakes

Can't seem to find any recent threads on big brakes, but with the bigger tires and wheels, its seems as if I'm pushing harder on the pedal these days to stop the BRUTE. Brembo Grand Turismo seems the way to go, but $7500 plus install. Whew, that's a hard pill to swallow. Any other comparable big brake systems out there that any of you have installed at less money? Is it possible to get a better brake system than stock without having to spend thousands? Appreciate your thoughts..Thanks..Da BRUTE

I agree, the Brembo package seems way expensive. Also, people who have the BIG break kits have not noticed much more stopping power. Now that I have the supercharger I"m always in the throttle so I'm in the market for bigger breaks that work.

I ended up buying Power Slot slotted rotors and Hawk performance pads. Have not had time to install them yet

Brembos are great, woudn't say a bad thing about them. And they seem to stop the supercharged beast like nothing...

CHeck with SSBC (Stainless Steel Brake Corp). They make some good brake packages for a better price.

I installed a setup on my 99 Tahoe when I upgraded from 31s to 35s. The change definitely saved me from wrecks on more than one occasion.

INHO Brembo's are the Lamborghini of brake systems out there. I had a set on my corvette that was pushing 520 rwhp NA. The were very impressive to say the least. However Brembo isn't the only option out there for big brake kits. If i were to do it over, i'd be looking into the Wilwood kits as they are 1/2 the price of brembo at $3200 and in my opinion built just as good.

Additionally, Baer makes some good kits as well, but im not to familiar with any applications they might have for the trucks. I know they have some 4 piston setups, but i assume you're looking at a 6 pistion upgrade.

Check them out!
