Default Exhaust Cutouts Help

Hey I am wanting to put electric exhaust cutouts on my sut. I am just curious as to if anyone has done it with out replacing the stock muffler. My goal is to be able to open the headers up with the flip of a switch after the cat of course) and then flip the switch back and make it as quiet as stock again.

I have no idea if this is possible... so any input would be great!

http://www.pypesexhaust.com/accessories.html

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php

These two sites should help. Any exhaust shop can install before or after Cats in no time

I for one think they are awesome. I bought the QTP ones about 2 months ago and had them installed. I wanted them installed before the cats, but unfortunately there was no room, so they placed them about 1 ft before the muffler. They work off a switch and have been working like a charm. It's not the same sound as if they were off the headers, but close enough..You will love them...DA BRUTE

Hey were you able to retain the stock muffler?? Also, did you just install a small Y shaped pipe and let it dump straight out or did you run pipes out the back?

If you have any pictures that would be great! I'm just trying to figure out how I am going to do this!

Thanks!

I'm running Dynatech long tube headers with flow through cats and a Bassani dual exhaust, but I think you should still be able to do this with the stock setup. I'll see if I can take some pics for you in the morning and post them. They were installed right behind the front door and a y pipe inserted with the cut outs installed and just dumped from there.BRUTE
