Greetings, I have run a myriad of searches for previous threads pertaining to moving the Onstar buttons. There are many threads from 02 and 03 saying that they failed. Is there a OnStar mirror that is compatable? Has anyone suceeded in moving the controls?
Thanks again you are my Hero

There have been many success's to moving Onstar buttons.
Where are You thinking about wanting to move them?

You can go in the front of the overhead console or go on the bottom side of the overhead. Both of these require lengthing the wiring so solder is manditory.

You can go to driver side of center console on the side of the center dash piece without lenghtening the wiring sometimes.
If Your handy move the cig plugs to each side of the center dash and cut hole where they are and move it to the bottom of the center console.
If You want You can move it to the inside of Your shifter console inside the storage compartment. Again requires lengthing wires.
You can go in the glove box sense it is a more rarely used device but, again lengthing the wiring.
I hope this gives you some ideas and maybe help You to event someplace to share with us also.

Taz,
Thanks for the reply. I want to change to a Onstar equiped Rear View Mirror such as the Taho and Yukon have. Is there a model which will retrofit easily?

I'm sure it can be done with the rear-view mirror with the onstar setup...it's just a matter of extending the wires and soldering. This could be time consuming if you don't have any experience doing this type of work so you may want to have a car audio shop do it for you.
