Default Chrome removal from plastic using Easy Off

Has anyone used Easy Off or another product to remove the chrome from plastic on the from grill or the mirror caps?

No,

But I accidentally left my high power tip on my pressure washer and blasted the chrome of one of my mirrors.

COOL!!! I just sanded mine with 320 grit paper and rattle canned em in matte black!!! Shoulda done the pressure washer mod!!!

Tried Easy Off on the mirror covers tonight. All it did was make them shinny. Hit it 100 grit and could not cut through the chrome. Anyway, I scuffed them up and spayed them with Krylon satin black. Hopefully it will stick. I am a bit more reluctant to do the grille.

I have heard some where that a pressure washer will take off the chrome...
