I have an Optima yellow top and was wondering if it's better than the stock battery in my 2005. The Optima came out of an Escalade and looks smaller than the stock battery. I bought the battery new and had it in my truck for only a couple of months. Does anyone have any info I could use. If someone has already covered this issue please point me in the right direction. Thanks guys

i know there's several discussions but like most men here ,i didn't want to read every single one..i should have said that this was a fitment question.
PhilD, did you have fitment issues? i read in one of the many posts, that their optima came with a special clamp or they had to purchase one, did yours come with one?
i'm just looking to replace the stock and not upgrading my truck to a dual battery setup.

There has been several discussions about those batteries. Click on "find" and type in "Optima Battery". There are actually 3 pages of links to all the discussions.
