Just a follow up to those interested - Finished the parts change out relative to the recall. Work performed at Les Schwab Tires - took about 2 hours. The steering is FIXED! No more wandering front end... Parts are "somewhat beefier" than stock - but not the same size as FT. I bet FT had control loss concerns on the HD kit - and so goes the change... First rate service from Fab Tec as well as LS. The bonus - I get to keep the cool tie rods intact... Good Hummin

I understand the ARMs that were removed are supposed to be sent bakc to Fabtech. I assume for confirmatin the job was actually done. Good for you that you still have them.

BTW, my truck doesn't wonder and I HATE the idea of getting rid of them, but I guess I have to.

I hope that's a typo! The thread in the general section said (I think) the parts to be swapped are the pitman and idler arms and the tie rods stay installed. Did I get that wrong? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>What are you talking about? Why mess with my posts like that?

HaHa, gotcha!

Yes, Rodster has it right, I made a typo. It's the Pitmand and Idler Arms.
