Heh Guys, My 86 Supercharged Vette is just about sold. The Plan was to go for a new 2006 H3 in June of 2006.
I'm not sure but isn't that when the new model..2007 start to get advertized?? If so.. What is the buzz on the 2007 models? Can we expect to see more power in the motor or changes in the interior or other 2006 what's considered to be problem areas?
Any advice as far as waiting or should I just go for a left over 2006.
Thanks in advance..

I agree, the Diesel may have fallen outside the scope of what will come in '07. It would have an easy fit, since they will be offering one for Europe next year, but Diesels are not that popular in the US....at this time, but they are growing in popularity.
The V8 does require a major redesign of the dash panel (firewall) location, and it will be a lot of fun to work on.
I believe the only big change you will see with the release of the '07 model year will be the increase of about 25 hp.

Well at least we can wish and hope for some extra juice.
I'm not holding my breath for anything drastic. GM is pretty happy with the H3's success as is. And financially they are about as screwed up as any company today (debt-ridden and bloated), which impacts their ability to spend for sure.

Where are you guys hearing of a diesel in 07 ?
I know there was a couple put together with a diesel in them but no decision to market that right now . There will be a 310 hp v 8 but not unitil fall of 07 which will be the 08 model .
One of the top engineers for H3 is a friend of mine so this info is pretty reliable .
They wanted the v 8 out for next fall but its not going to happen . Thats why i bought the 06 , i didnt want to wait 2 years .

The Desert Sand Metallic color for the H2 would look great on an H3. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
x2 That would be an awesome color!

Sure hope there's a winch out by then.
I was hoping for a optional minigun mount. I mean, come on Nissan has one!

Since I just got rid of a desert sand SUT (that was my favorite colre so far BTW) and I just spent two days on installation of the GOBI rack and four sets of lights, I'll be pissed if they release that color for next year!
But that would be sweet!

Heh Thanks everone... There's some great info in your posts. I would like to see a V-8 in he 2007 H-3's...but that might be wishful thinking.
Or even a Supercharged option since I feel that type of Forced air system is better then Turbo.
Mo Power.... Mo Power...

Oh, they are spending, especially on new and existing well selling vehicles. They are spending millions to allow Shreveport to produce more H3s, they are spending on Cadillac, and believe it or not, Saturn (Saturn has some very sharp new vehicles coming out this year (Aura, Sky and another one) as well as GM's first Hybrid crossover SUV...Greenline). They are spending a fortune on the new 900 series trucks, and on the latest new large SUVs.
But I agree, they are as messed up as many other US car manufacturers. Who knows what the future will bring.
But, whether or not they spend money, there are no big changes planned for the H3 for the second model year. Probably the biggest change is the additional HP.

About mid July. We started building the first H3's in late March.
