Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
HJ next time I see you I'll have to take a close look to see how they are built and mounted. The Rocky Road ones have three mounting arms made out of what looks like 3/8", the arms appear to be 1" solid stock to the under rails which are roughly 2" square, the outer rails are 1 1/4" round with 1/2" stock connecting them to under rails.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
They do look good. Glad you were able to force them into place. I'm still up in the air between oem and rocky road bars. but these QC issues are a pita I don't want to deal with.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
Just installed the RRO H3 Super Slider Rock Rails. Of coarse they sent the wrong bolts....but a quick trip to sears and sixty minutes later with a little sweat and some blasphemy they are on my baby girl. They look great, they weren't really that hard to put on, I even did it at night with a flashlight. They fit you just have to use a little TLC, I got all 12 bolts on.
Pictures to follow when I get to my camera.

It might not have been positioned correctly if they had not been on the original set of rails that were fab'd for babhumv(?) - I have a set for the H2 without the extra plate, they said that they were going to add them to the supports/brackets and send some out to me...I just don't know how they're going to account for the brake line without the actual vehicle in front of them...

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
Paul, what did those rails cost you? I can get an OEM set for $500, I hear they fit fine.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
Cris, they were alittle overv $400 including shipping. Even with all the trouble they still look great and I'm sure they stand up to slidin on the rocks.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
I got my OEMs for about $350 shipped but I got a deal. The OEM are very strong and I have not had any issues with them. I am sure the RRs are plenty strong as well, I would just be concerned about the missing mounting point. Basically, by skipping that mount didn't they reduce the overall strength by 1/4? I will get a chance to check some out next weekend and look forward to it.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
Yeah, I plan on adding skids to the rails os when they are off for fab. I'll have to holes elongated to address the missing bolt.

Re: RockRail Sliders Arrived.
Installed my RR sliders this morning so I thought I would share an update:
Ordered them on the 15th and they arrived in NY on the 29th.
Fit was great, no issues with the holes not lining up. Still 3 mounting points,
2 bolts each.
Bolts were the correct size, though a bit long. Feel real solid.
Can be used as a step, though a bit higher than the normal step rails. (APPROVED FOR THIS USE BY THE WIFE.) I will probably install some kind of stick on material to improve traction when using as step.
Install done alone without difficulty.
So if you have been hesitating because of the quality control issues, they seem to have improved greatly.
