Went for $1M, plus the runner up bidder agreed to write a check to the Fisher House for an extra $250k.

Re: Barrett Jakson
Right before the 5 milion for the AC Cobra a guy paid $600,000 for #1 chassis 07 GT 500 cobra with the option to buy #2 at sticker(4?,000). I beleive it is the same guy that bought the one last year for 600,000 also.
I cant' remember the percentage that barrett Jackson gets. Does anyone know? I thought I heard that it was 7% for the seller and 7% for the buyer. Can anyone confirm.

That would be Ron Pratt. Yep, it's the same guy. Amazing.
That Kurtis roadster was sweet too.
I know 10% is added to the final price for commission, how and if it's spilt I don't know.

Re: Barrett Jakson
Ron Pratte is one hell of a collector... and home builder.
I'm a bit confused because this was published June 23, '06:
http://www.stangsunleashed.com/index..._articleid=119
Quote:
(FLAT ROCK, MICHIGAN) StangsUnleashed.com watched as GT500s were rolling off the assembly line and Carroll Shelby handed the keys to the first Shelby GT500 (Grabber Orange with Tungsten Stripes) sold to the public to Ron Pratte, the winning bidder in a charity auction last January. This car was won for 600,000 from the Barret-Jackson auction house. All the proceeds went to Carroll Shelby's Childrens Charity.
"On behalf of the mangement and workers here at AutoAlliance, I'm proud to hand over the keys to this Shelby GT500," said Gary Roe, President, AutoAlliance. "The Shelby GT500 is an instant classic and the AutoAlliance team couldn't be happier to be a part of the Ford-Shelby history."
Carroll Shelby was at the event today that took place at AutoAlliance, to personally oversee the delivery of the first Shelby GT500. Mr.Shelby also personally signed the first GT500 on the passenger side glove box for Mr. Pratte.

I guess he did the same thing last year.
