Alarm question
Just curious what alarm system most of you guys are using. I'm looking for of course a good quality system that can't be disarmed by merely cutting the power wire to the battery (just in case the truck is broken into and the hood is popped.) Any help is greatly appreciated....thanks....Jamie

Re: Alarm question
Just installed a Viper 5900 SST on mine a few days ago and love it. Remote start is nice on hot days. Locks and arms automaticly so I can never forget. They make a addon battery backup module for battery cutting protection.

If you don't mind, how much did it run you, and did you install it yourself? Thanks for the response.....Jamie

Re: Alarm question
Viper 5900SST
http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=38250
$208
Viper 791xv
http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=10596
$188
There the same system but the SST has longer range (up to 1 mile)
Did the install myself, i'v done quite a few,and I dont like others messing with my wiring. If you plan on doing it yourself I can post up the wiring for the truck. I also have a spare Passlock bypass module I'll let go cheap, you will need it if you want to do remote start also makes the door locks easy.
