On wear and tear.
I have an ex-brother-in-law, one of those whom you knew was not good enough for your sister type. He had a Porsche 930 Turbo, all white, slant nose wide ass, absolute beauty, that was my dream car. I've seen it for quite awhile but never sat in it. We made an arrangement for me to buy it from him, he left in my garage, I had a big garage at that time. I didn't get to check it out until few days later, WOW, what a piece of ****! Almost everything is broken inside, broken fan knob, broken glove box lock, missing vent and radio switches, spring out of seat, torn leather seats, broken power window, dust and junk inside. I took it out for a test drive, it was a total workout, worked up a sweat, needed to stop to have a smoke midway and rest myself, exhausted by the time I got back. I've driven Porsches many times, I saw and heard nothing wrong with it, but that was not right. The deal was cancelled. Later I had a chance to sat in his 500SEL, same thing, broken and missing controls and seats.

None of the above ever happened in any of the cars I ever owned, if something is broken I'll fix it, which was rare. I take care my cars normally, you don't see me doing anything extra or out of my way, I wipe the interior once every 1 or 2 months with a cloth, wax it once every 1-2 years, but you never see junk in any of my autos and no one washes my cars except myself.

Every auto brand has defects, but I wonder if some or few of the problems were caused by the owners.
