When I first started on the Hummer H3 project, 2 years before production, we were only allowed to say GMT 345 project and not able to say anything about the Hummer H3. Everyone in GM new what it was but no one one the outside was to know. The symbol was also used as a kind of code designation. It was used on official documents and Emails. I even got a coffee mug with this symbol, this was in April of 2004. I'll see if I can download a pic one day.
