As you probably know, with the V1 the main unit must be remain on the windshield to function properly. The angle of the H2 windshied creates a challange when mounting the parts. The stock windshield mount would leave the unit at a approx 40 degree angle above horizontal when using the stock brackets. Here is how I had the stock parts adapted to allow a horizontal install:

First pic is the stock mounting hardware. Second pic is post cut and plastic weld of parts 1 and 2. third pic is another view of blended mod completed. forth is bracket on head unit. fifth is on windshield. No moving violations in H2 SL55 or ZX11 since 1989..........V1 Rules.
