BAMFH2 is off the scale
Default

A "friend" of mine received a call a couple weeks ago asking if he was interested in viewing and giving his feedback on some new and concept pickups/SUV's. Surveyer said he would be paid $75 for a couple hours and being the cheap-greedy bastard he is, he said sure.

He arrived at the indoor survey this morning. They physically had about 30 trucks in various stages of draping so you could not tell the manufacture.

You were asked to sit in each vehicle and rate the interior space. Then to rate each truck from an exterior size to what you would want.

Then on the outside walls they had posters of 105 different trucks from every major manufacture. Each poster (4'x3')had a picture of the front, side, back, interior and back seat views of the truck. Then below were various specs of the truck - engine specs, cargo size, MPG, price etc were listed. You were asked to rate each and every vehicle on whether you would be interested in this style of truck based upon the pictures and the specs.

Here is the interesting part: There were 4 unique Hummer's (poster only, not a full size model) there.

H3 Truck
H3 Crew Cab Truck
H3 Extended Cab Truck
H2 2500HD Truck

You were not allowed to bring in camera's or cell phones, so unfortunately my friend could not take pictures or write down all the spec's but here is his best shot at the specs for each model.

H3 Truck
All were much smaller than a standard H2
More along the size of a Chevy S-10
Unique styling, very tall doors with 3/4 height windows.
Very square and boxy - Hummer looking, but not as agressive.
Standard 5 (yes, 5) cylinder
245 hp model or Turbo 5 cylinder 300hp
Crew cab = 188" long x 74" wide
Crew cab = true 4 doors
Crew cab had 2 optional beds. 4.2' or 5'
H3 Truck MSRP = $33K
H3 Crew Cab MSRP = $35K
For what it's worth observations:
Very "concept" looking - almost too cool for production.
Reminds you of the SSR in terms of how "out of the ordinary" the styling looks. Still looks like a Hummer, but very cool.
Interior looked cheap

H2 2500 HD (VERY Sweet looking)
This looked like a regular H2SUT but with an extended pickup bed
Spare tire integrated horizontally into and below the rear truck bed door.
Two optional bed lengths = 5.6' or 6.6'
3 engine options
STD = Same engine as the H2 today @$48K
Duramax Diesel - 360hp @$55K
V-10 upgrade = 450hp @$49K
Vehicle length = 212' w/ 5.6' bed
Vehicle length = 224' w/6.6' bed
9600# towing with standard or diesel engine
12000# towing with V-10 option

For what it's worth observations:
Interior pics still looked very plasticy
Looked like maybe an integrated winch in the front bumper
No more "tit" heater vents - flush mounted style now
Maybe lighted gear indicator in center shift area
Bed was wider than 4cubic ft at the wheel wells

Thats it for now - keep in mind that these were all concept vehicles. So who knows if any of these will make it to the street, but still some interesting concepts.
