The number of experiences I have had with regards to "H2s vs. Other Cars" are really piling up, with the latest one involving a hit and run where my wife was driving our H2 and someone hit her. This just happened yesterday. My wife was in the middle lane of a very busy 3-lane road. In the right lane, a public transportation bus was stopped to pick up people. A car behind the stopped bus became very inpatient and -- without looking of course -- began to pull into the middle lane...where my wife was. Well, his side mirror hit the black trim around the front wheel-well. The tires of the offending vehicle also ran up against the strong-as-hell factory (or dealer) installed side steps. I credit the side steps with keeping the offending vehicle off of my H2 for the most part, such that the only damage I got was two small black marks from the side mirror, slight scrapes running along the length of my side steps, and a couple of small, barely visible scrapes in the black trim where the mirror had hit. What happened to the offending vehicle? His mirror was smashed and was ripped off...my wife could see it dangling from the car by its wires as the guy took off never to be seen again. My wife thought there would be a ton of damage to the side of our H2 because it shook the truck so much and the impact was very loud (probably when the guy's mirror was being ripped off by my front wheel-well). When I got home and assessed the situation, I simply got into my H2, patted her on the dashboard, and said "Way to go my little H2!!!! You show 'em who's boss!!!" It's also another thing to add to the list of reasons to keep an H2...in case there was ever any doubt.
I could share a few other similar stories, but since this one is the most recent, I figured I would start with this and follow up with a few others later.
