Imagine how the parents of the offenders would be scrutinized by the general public and media for their apparent lack of parenting skills. Is the parenting (or lack there of) of black kids/young adults ever taken in to consideration when they commit these crimes? Yes. Yes it is. It is taken in to consideration when the charges reach court, where the defendents public defender will use it as a crutch in a feeble attempt to get the accused off of their charges.

The problem is even though you take it into consideration, it can not be used as an excuse for leniency. Then you are letting a person who still has the same issues back on the street. I do not know how to fix the system but look at the kid in Nebraska with the mental problems. They had been getting him help for 4+ years. He was just broke. Nothing was going to fix him. What do you do there? Let him go and hope for the best? That is what they did.

On the otherhand, millions of mental people run the streets and get released from the hospitals and don't do what that kid did. It is just life.

In the case of uneducated, un parented, un moraled kids that do these crimes, If there parents will not do anything what can we as a society do? 75% do not want anyones help or to change. You give them money, they blow it. (Ala Rodney King) You give them free college, they don't want it, even high school they do not want. It starts and end with morals. Responsibility. Self Worth. With out it, you have animals. Of ALL races. Whites Mexicans blacks, etc. All walks of life. Rich and poor. It's life. They were complaining about the same crap before we were here and they will be when we are gone.

My issue is the rate at which it is growing. Crime continues to go up. Violence is at a rate my city has never seen before (D/FW) and it is not all blacks. (Its not all whites either). The southern section is sending us some real first class citizens.
