Is it normal for pregnant women to clean like a son-of-a-bish just before giving birth?

Our house is always clean, but Tubby is going overboard. Hell, we've got two weeks until the "official" due date. Sheez.... there's time.... (nevermind that punkette #2 came 13 days early)

She even made me get new carpet in the baby's room. Instead of cleaning the walls, she made me paint them. Presummably to seal up the wall germs I guess.

I'm afraid she's going to make me wear scrubs, mask and gloves pretty soon.

Honestly, is it really necessary to disinfect the tops of the fridge and tv. I mean the little slug won't be able to reach up there for a few years anyway, right?

I swear, if she tells me to stop pissing on the toilet seat one more time I think I'm going to blow a gasket!
