Nope. The GVWR listed by Hummer for the H3 Alpha is 6,001 lbs. The GVWR listed by Hummer for the H3T is also 6,001 lbs, and "6,100 lbs with the V8." The regular I-5 H3 also has a GVWR of 6,001 lbs. In each instance, Hummer states that GVWR "includes vehicle, passengers, equipment and cargo."

The curb weight of the H3A is 4,883 lbs and the curb wieght of the V8-H3T is 5,069 lbs.

They all must have roughly the same suspension (thus the same GVWR). Thus, the lightest H3 (the basic model) has the highest (1,306 lbs) max payload (i.e. GVWR minus curb wieght) and the heavier vehicles with the same suspensions and same GVWR have lower max payloads. So, basically, Hummer put the same suspension on the V8-H3T as it put on the basic I-5 H3, and consequently the payload drops from 1,306 lbs to 1,031 lbs--more of the GVWR must go to the weight of the truck itself rather than potential payload. Obviously, Hummer should have beefed up the suspension when making a heavier truck so that it did not have a laughably-weak max payload.
