I recently acquired a set of Gobi recovery loop steps (PN: GH2RLS
http://www.gobiusa.com/store.php?crn...on=show_detail) from thefinestimage. This afternoon I was planning on refinishing them for an install this weekend only to discover that they do not fit my recovery loops.
A little research has led me to believe that the 'tire carrier' recovery loops are 'deeper' then the standalone recovery loops. The Gobi product does not slide far enough back over the recovery loop base to fit flush.
Some threads on here have mentioned 'spacers' that were offered by Gobi to remedy this problem, but I have been unable to find the actual product anywhere. Thoughts?
Worst case scenario, I'll prolly just rig something up or take them to the welding shop and have them thicken them up, but I thought I'd check with ya'll first.
