Default Ideas on Moving the Drivers seat

Hey all,
I am seriously thinking about moving the drivers seat in the rig. Who ever designed the seat was a moron....
The seat is completely back and I still need about 6-8 inches of arm room. I feel like I am sitting on top of the steering wheel. It is the most uncomfortable feeling I have ever had in the drivers seat of anything

So I am thinking of taking out the seat and drilling out 4 new mounting points for the seat. My question is this....

I have been under the cab and I dont see the usual welded/pressed bolts for the seat like I have seen in other vehicles. So because of that, I am not sure where the bolts are. I am afraid that maybe they are fixed to the hump under the drivers seat that holds the ECU (BCM?) in place. If so, I am wondering is there a way to move the hump without cutting and welding?
Next I am wondering if there is a way to move the under the seat ecu back some.... since I am moving the seat back, I would assume that I would need to also move the wiring and such for the seat, and just wondering if there is enough wire to make that 6-8 inch move back?

Any ideas on this move would be much appreciated
thanks!
