Guess I'd look into some thin flexible plastic trim at an auto store as a temporary fix if I discover mine cracked. Sometimes you'll be surprised at what you can find at a Pep Boys.
By the way I guess you guys have door guard edge protective strips on your H3s? I just purchased some at a Pep Boys recently. Since my H3 is black the thin strips look like part of the vehicle.
