A couple of weeks ago I had new 2005 TNR units installed in my 2003 H2 and 2003 Yukon XL. The Yukon is my daily driver and the Nav works perfect. The H2 is my wife’s car and I had not driven it since the original installation.
Yesterday I took ithe H2 for a long drive and noticed that the screen (when in Nav mode), kept freezing up, then it would come back to normal tracking. I liken it to putting a TV screen on “pause” then “play” then “pause” etc. This occurred all throughout the 75 miles round trip. The duration of “pause” times varied. It’s totally random.
I want to note that an aftermarket XM interface and XM radio was installed at the same time. I’m not sure of the brand but I am guessing P.I.E. The XM works okay except that the station name, artist and title come across on the screen weird…so Billy Joel comes across as “lly Jo”. My wife really doesn’t care so it’s not an issue with me. However, could this XM unit be interfering with the Nav?
I’m going to swap the Nav DVD out of my Yukon today to see if it’s a DVD problem as well. Has anyone else had this experience? Help!
