The dead pedal is the space on the left hand side where your left foot rests. It's where you push hard to push yourself back into your seat when cornering or whenever you want to stick in your seat. I wish we had a little more room there too.

Yes... The brake and gas are a little close together. At first it really pissed me off. I almost cut the corner of the brake pad off. But after a couple of weeks of driving it... Now I hardly notice it. The pwer seat control is a little close, yes... But I never need to adjust it once I'm seated.

I also own a Porsche C-2 (911)... The Hummer is as fun driving vehicle as the Porsche is. (obviously for different reasons) I guess that's why I don't feel the need for speed in the Hummer... I can always do that later...
